What is the companion ticket and what do I need to use it?
Your companion can travel with you all day long throughout Switzerland on the companion ticket for just CHF 38 if you are in possession of one of the following tickets:
- a 1st or 2nd class GA Travelcard (including GA Travelcard for SBB employees, Trial GA Travelcard and GA Travelcard for children).
- a Saver Day Pass.
- a Day Pass for the Half Fare Travelcard for 1st or 2nd class (including Multiple Day Pass and Day Pass for the Half Fare Travelcard for SBB employees).
- a 1-month GA Travelcard (available from 13 December 2020).
- a Leisure Travelcard.
Where and in which class is the companion ticket valid?
The companion ticket is valid for one whole day in the GA Travelcard area of validity. The person you bring along travels in the same class as you.
Where is the companion ticket available?
You can get the companion ticket online at SBB.ch, on the SBB Mobile app, at ticket machines or at most staffed public transport points of sale.
