hi, i just purchased a Swiss Half Fare Card. i tried sync'ing the card to the SBB app, but when it asked for -

- customer number (the order number from the receipt)

- postcode (i dont know what i should put, i tried my USA residential code and my friend's zurich postcode but neither worked)

- date of birth (i think i got this right)

The reason you cannot sync the travelcard to the SBB Mobile App is because you do not need a customer number to purchase the Swiss Half Fare Card: it is an offer for our international clients.

The Swiss Half Fare Card is available as e-ticket, you should have received it per e-mail.

You can still use the SBB Mobile App: create a SwissPass Login (www.swisspass.ch), log in in the App and purchase all tickets with the reduction "half fare". When you are controlled in our trains, show your ticket and the Swiss Half Fare Card.

I wish you a nice day.

HI, I have the opposite problem: the app only shows half far although I don't have any active half fare. How do I select non reduced ticket (at the moment not even showing in the app)?

Hi @sjeb

There are two options:

  1. Go to the Profile tab, Personal Data and press Disconnect SwissPass. If you don't have any other subscriptions on the SwissPass, you don't need it anymore. If you do, then reconnect it.
  2. Search for a connection, go to Buy, and edit your personal data there with the pencil icon. There you can remove the checkmark at 1/2, if set.

Hello @cwong47

Log in to swisspass.ch with your login. On the start page, you will be asked to enter your customer number, postcode and date of birth. Then click on "Link now". The customer number is the number in the format 000-000-000-0 on your SwissPass card.

Please check your name, address and telephone number etc. as stored in your customer account on swisspass.ch. These details must be identical to those on your SwissPass card (e.g. no nicknames, check double names etc.). If you still receive the error message, get in touch with us using the contact form. Let us know your customer number and send us a screenshot of the page with the error message.

If the error message still persists, please contact us via the following link: swisspass.ch

Have a nice day, StéphanieB

ah. ok. so i THINK my SBB account is registered with my host's zurich address, while i purchase the half-fare card with my united states address. 😕
