Wrong birth year registered

When booking the tickets, I had registered the wrong birth year for my partner (1986 instead of 1985).

I read on the FAQ that if the incorrect info is only a single number, the tickets would still be considered valid.

Would I need to consult with any of the staffs at the station before using it? Or can we just use it and explain when we show our ID on the train?

If it is a minor error, please go to an SBB ticket office to get a confirmation.
