Hello and welcome to the SBB Community. What would you like to do?
Hello,
Can you please advise me about the tickets from Zurich to Zermatt.
I looked at the prices and I had a question, if I buy an online ticket in advance (I don't have any Swisspass or discounts), then it turns out that I automatically get a discount for previously purchasing a ticket on the dates ahead of schedule?
Please correct me if I misunderstood. If you also have the knowledge of how to get from Zurich to Zermatt and back cheaper, I would be very grateful to you.
Hello @radionovvskaya
On the screenshot is a Saver Day Pass at full price ie If you do not have a Half-Fare Card this is the right offer. You can travel throughout Switzerland for a day on all routes in the GA area.
The validity and conditions of the Saver Day Pass can be found here: Saver Day Pass – book earlier, travel cheaper | SBB
You can find more information about the Special offer by Coop here: Spezial-Tageskarte | coop.ch

Hi Stéphanie,
Kindly ask you advise me if I can buy this day card from a coop store in any store "on the spot".
Thank you!
Linda
Hello @radionovvskaya
Yes, you can buy the day passes at a coop store. Find here which store is in the nearest.
I wish you an excellent day.

Thanks a lot!! 🙂

Dear Stéphanie,
Thank you so much for information and help!

Hello @radionovvskaya
Regular point-to-point tickets cost the same, regardless if bought in advance or at the counter. They are good to travel on any train.
Prices indicated by default are "From" prices. The lowest fare is usually a Supersaver ticket. Supersaver tickets are indicated by a % sign. These tickets are only valid for the selected connection. Further restrictions apply.
I suggest looking at the Saver Day Pass which might be cheaper than a regular full fare point-to-point. The price is increasing the closer the travel date and tickets are subject to availability.
Currently, Coop and Interdiscount stores do sell day passes for as little as CHF 49. They are good on any train and are also available without half fare card. This might be another option to save on travel costs.
Best regards,
Roland
Hello Roland!
Thank you for such a quick response! Can you please tell us more about the Coop tickets? Can I buy them in advance on website?
Also kindly ask you to check screenshoot below, If i will take Saver Day Pass (round trip), do I need to buy something extra (a Swiss pass or some kind of pass) or will the discount already work automatically even for a person without a Swiss pass?
