Saver day pass vs 3 day swiss travel pass

Sheetal
New Author

Hi,

We are a group of 6 adults,2 kids and 1 infant travelling to switzerland for 2 days. During these 2 days, we would like to do the following:

Day 1- Zurich to Mt Titlis via lucern and return to Zurich

Day 2- Either Zurich to interlaken via luzern

I wanted to understand if it is better to buy day saver pass for each of the 2 days or should we go for the 3 day swiss travel pass?

Do both types of passes cover all modes of transport across switzerland?

Does the day saver (without half-fare travel card give discount on cable car for mt titlis?

Thanks!

Hello @Sheetal

Thank you for your request.

With both tickets (Swiss Travel Pass for 3 days and Super Saver Day Pass) you have to buy an additional ticket from Engelberg to Titlis. With the Swiss Travel Pass you have on this journey from Engelberg to Titlis a reduction of 50%. With the Saver Day Pass you have this reduction not and you have to pay the full price.

Children under 6 years travels for free accompanied by their parents. Between 6 and 16 years children have to pay the half price. When you buy the Swiss Travel Pass you receive for free the Family Card and then the children between 6 and 16 travel for free accompanied by their parents.

If you decide to travel with the Saver Day Pass you can buy for the children a Junior Card which costs CHF 30.00 and is similar to the Family Card.

Kind regards,

MarinaZ
