Saver Day Passes and Half-fare travel card

Hi, there,

I am planning to travel in Switzerland around 8 days in May 2019, and will buy a one-month Half-fare travelcard.

I will buy the Saver Day Passes with Half-fare Travelcard and 60 days before departure in order to get the cheapest price. 

Could you advise if I need to have the valid Half-fare Travelcard when the day I buy the ticket, or only when the day I travel.

You don’t need to have a valid half-fare card when you buy the ticket, only when you’re travelling.
