Hello and welcome to the SBB Community. What would you like to do?
Hi,
Five us plan to come to Zurich a week before Christmas. We want to buy 4 Saver Day Passes (for different days). In case I am not able to travel due to covid, can I get a refund for these passes?
Thanks
Hi @Dips20211
Thank you for your request.
I would be happy to send you a link where you can look up the reimbursement conditions for economy tickets. https://www.sbb.ch/en/help-and-contact/refunds-compensation/ticket-refunds/supersaver.html
I wish you and your company a nice stay in Zurich.
Greetings and have a nice day.

The saver pass term and conditions indicates that having an illness that prevents travel is allowable condition to ask for a refund.
Yet I have Covid and cannot travel due to my illness and asked for a refund. But i was told that that is not allowed a refund- both in an email and on the helpline.
So worth pointing out the terms and conditions are not being observed by SBB so don't rely on them when you book a saver pass ticket.
Best not to book ahead with SBB as you wont get your money back if you get ill certainly.
How disappointing scud72.
I finally purchased Swiss Pass from Happy Rail for my entire family and had to cancel my trip due to omicron. But now SBB are not sending my refund to Happy Rail and hence I am unable to get a refund even though I requested the refund 3 weeks before my travel. Swiss pass is refundable and its sad to see your money go waste like this in these difficult times.
