Hi,

I have two questions:

1.) When I buy the swiss saver day pass, do I pick the train time or can I get on any train that day?

2.) Do I need to buy a ticket for my 7 year old son?

Savings offers are generally non-refundable. Nevertheless, I recommend you to try it and fill out the refund form.

You can get on any train that day.

Yes, 7 year old need a half fare ticket; alternatively, you can buy a Junior Card or a Children Co-Travelcard or the Swiss Half Fare Card or a Children Day Pass.

If I have a saver day pass, can I reserve a seat on a specific train?

In theory, yes.

Seat reservations are only possible for IC, PE and internationally operating trains (EC, RJX, NJ, etc.) and not for R, IR, or S trains.
