Half Fare card question

I purchased a super saver fare from Geneva to Arolla prior to purchasing my Swiss Half Fare card. Can I apply a discount from the card to this previously purchased Swiss Rail ticket? If not, should I request a refund and re-purchase the tickets?

Hello @Rcjwhiting 

Yes, as soon as when you're at the SBB counter and buy the half fare card, you can refund the half of the purchased ticket (max. 3 tickets). If you buy the ticket online (SBB Mobile or sbb.ch) you can only refund it by phone while calling the SBB Contact Center 0848 44 66 88. You can also request a refund on our website here. If you buy the ticket on a machine or counter, you can refund the ticket directly on the SBB counter.
