Family card and Ticket Booking

I came to after a good trip to Switzerland.
But I have a question.
I bought a Swiss pass in my country, but I couldn't issue a family card. It's free in Switzerland, but it's charged in my country. But because I didn't have time, I couldn't get a family card, and I told the ticket inspector to show my passport, but I paid for the children. If family card is issued free, what does it mean to pay for children separately? It's not without proof.
How about giving the checker the authority to issue a family card?

Hi @jung

Glad you enjoyed your stay here in Switzerland Smiley Happy

We issue the Swiss Family Card together with the Swiss Travel Pass. Because there is an obligation to buy a ticket before travelling, generally no tickets are sold on board (or only a limited range as a gesture of goodwill).

Kind regards
