Discounted Tickets not available on the same day anymore - only until the day before

Hello,

I recently noticed the SBB stopped selling discounted fares on the same day. You can only get hem until 00:00 the day before.

I do not understand that decision, not the economic rationale behind it; the fact that the SBB does not deem it necessary to let users know about that change only makes it worse.

Could you give us an explanation?

Thanks a lot,

Nicolas Eckert

Hi @nicolas3112

Thank you for your request.

Supersaver tickets may be purchased no more than 60 days before the desired date of travel. If the contingent allows it, you can also get them for the same day (for example Bern-Zürich at 19.38 pm, Sion-Basel at 21.59 pm, & 22.02 pm, Brig-Bern at 22.19 pm…).

You will find all the relevant information about supersaver tickets here:
https://www.sbb.ch/en/travelcards-and-tickets/tickets-for-switzerland/supersaver-tickets.html

Exception: Saver Day Pass : They can’t be purchased on the day of travel.

Best regards
