Clarification of the point to point ticket

I want to travel from Geneva to Lausanne in the upcoming week. When I started looking for a ticket I noticed that I could buy a point to point ticket, with the description saying "One-way, return or round-trip ticket in Switzerland...Period of validity: 1 calendar day until 05:00am the following day." What I want to do will only take 10 minutes in Lausanne, hence does that mean that I can buy a point to point ticket and use the same ticket to travel to Lausanne and then back to Geneva within the period of validity? Or would I have to buy two point to point tickets: 1 to Lausanne and then 1 back to Geneva?

Hi @Kennek

Thank you for your request.

If you travel between Geneva and Lausanne and return to Geneva on the same day, you must buy a return ticket.

You will find all the information here:
