Hi, We are in a town outside Zurich that doesn't have ticket machines at the bus stops. So the kids use multipack tickets and stamp their ticket when they board the bus to go to Zurich for school and back. But we're starting to notice that our buses don't have ticket stamp machines... and so far I've noticed it on the newer buses, and that leads me to believe stamp machines are going away gradually or at least in our area. Is there another way the kids can get their multitickets stamped? Or is the only option to have them pay everytime there is no stamp machine or print out paper tickets for them everyday (neither are ideal). The older one is 10 and does not have a phone so we cannot use the mobile app. Thanks for any guidance!

Hi, I tried to buy tickets from Lucerne to Milan for late June, and I was unable to buy it from SBB even though the route was showing up (not sure if it was because my foreign credit card was not being accepted or because it was more than 60 days out). So I booked the trains from Chiasso to Milan via Trenitalia and have seat assignments because I really needed the non-stop train from Lucerne to Milan at that particular time. I know you can book seat reservations for the Swiss journey, though it's not mandatory. But I'd greatly prefer to be able to sit in the same seats with the family and our luggage for the entire journey. Is there a way to request a specific train car or even seats on SBB to match our current seat reservations for the Italian portion? (currently, it looks like you can just request general things like "open car", "corridor car"?) Thanks!

Thank you, @StéphanieB1. The main thing is that the ticket is to go all the way to Milan, so I understand that the half fare card would cover the adults (and the kids) through the Swiss part, and then there would be some fee for the Italian portion. But I cannot figure out what Tariff to choose for the kids: the options are No (which shows up on my quote as "child traveling unaccompanied" and I think charged accordingly), GA 1st class, GA 2nd class, half fare (which can only be assigned to the parents), junior card, and co-traveling child. The system won't let me choose half-fare and co-traveling child, and that makes sense. For "no," the kids get charged 75% of the fee that the adults are getting charged. And for GA 2nd class and junior card, the kids get charged 10chf. I'm not sure which to choose? Thanks!

Hi, I have the exact same question as BEOHMEE, but I'm trying to get a ticket to go to Italy (Zurich to Milan). The kids would have Swiss Family cards (parents Half Fare cards). Would I choose "GA 2nd class travelcard for the kids? (it seems my only options available are that one or "junior card.") Thanks!
