What Travel Pass or no pass would be best?

We are travelling from Colmar to Murren on Aug 30th.  We stay in Murren for 6 nights and are using Murren as a base to explore that Region. Then we go to Montreaux for 3 nights to explore that area after which we travel by train from Montreaux to Beaune, France.  Is is worth getting a Swiss Rail Pass or would we be better just getting tickets for all the activities (such as mountain excursions, chocolate train etc. )  as we go?
