Travel pass

New Author

We are a family of 4, two adults and two kids aged 15 and 11. We are visiting Zurich (0), Montreux (4N), Zermatt (2N), Grindelwald (4N), Lugano (2N) and back to Zurich (4N). Our trip will last 16 days and are planing to visit the cities in the order provided above. We plan to travel on Swiss rail and need your help with a) advising if the itinerary above is the most convenient to reduce travel times and cost and b) if it would be better to buy a travel pass or day pass for the travel.

Best regards Ash

Dear @ARao, thank you for your request. We have some different passes for our international guests. You’ll find all of these on the following link: https://www.sbb.ch/en/leisure-holidays/travel-in-switzerland/international-guests/swiss-travel-pass..... Please note that the children under the age of 16 years accompanied by at least one parent (holding a Swiss Travel System ticket) travel free of charge with the complimentary Swiss Family Card. If you need more information please contact our rail service (+41 900 300 300). Greetings, SarahI

Thank you for your reply. Since we will be in Switzerland for 16 days but not traveling by train everyday should we take a 8 days travel flex pass or should we take a 15 day pass. Please advise.
