Tickets via the SBB app: two scenarios


If I buy a paper ticket for my trip, it's valid for the whole day, i.e. it doesn't matter which train I take. If I buy the ticket via the app, the time of the train service is specified:

  1. Does this mean I must take that train or can I take a later train?
  2. If I attempt to buy the app ticket after the official leaving time, the app blocks me. If I buy a ticket for the next train, is it valid for this train?
