Saver day pass versus point to point

New Author

I just purchased a point to point ticket from ZRH to Zermatt.  On the return from Zermatt to Zurich, there was no option for a point to point ticket so I purchased the saver day pass.

Both passes allow choice of times for that day.  The saver day pass is much less expensive.  What is the advantage of the point to point?  Am I at risk of full trains when returning to the airport with a saver day pass?

Is it possible to exchange the point to point ZRH to Zermatt for a saver day pass, which is less money?

Thank you in advance,

Hello @BrianB

Thank you for your request.

The Point-to-point ticket is the normal price ticket between 2 stations and always available. The Saver Day Pass is a contingent offer in different price levels and valid for almost all over Switzerland. An exchange is excluded.

All information about both offers can be found here:

I wish you a pleasant stay within Switzerland.

Kind regards,
