Question regarding an online SBB ticket.

Hello, we have purchased an online ticket using a mobile device from Spiez to Interlaken. We did not use the app (although in hindsight probably should have) to purchase this ticket. We do not have access to a printer but received a PDF file containing our ticket with a QR code. Will this be sufficient to show the ticket inspector on our mobile device? We cannot get the ticket to transfer onto the app either. We have tried using the app to scan the QR code but that will not work.

I feel like the PDF file should be enough, however some of the rules are making us second guess whether or not a physical paper copy is required. Thanks!

Hello @ironmathyu5

Thank you for your query.

Normally you have to print out the ticket if it cannot be presented in the app. If the QR code in the PDF file can be scanned by our staff, there are no problems with it and you can travel. Otherwise you have the possibility to print your tickets for CHF 10.00 at an SBB ticket counter.

I wish you a nice Sunday.

Kind regards,
FatimaH
