From 8.80 to 6.20 is not half?

I recently purchased the half fare card and have had a look at the price. The daily ticket for Zurich went from 8.80 to 6.20. This is not half the price. Can anyone help me figure out what I’m doing wrong?

As stated in the fine print at https://www.sbb.ch/en/travelcards-and-tickets/railpasses/half-fare-travelcard.html

"Please note: The Half Fare Travelcard discount may be less than 50% on short-distance routes because of the minimum price. This also applies to discounted offers or combined offers which include a train journey and additional services."
