Hi,

How do I reserve a train ticket thru SBB website for my child (age 6-15) with a Family Card from Luzern to Interlaken? On SSB website it said required a day travelpass for children?

Also Children between 6 and 16 years of age who are accompanied by at least one parent holding a valid STS ticket travel free of charge with the complimentary Swiss Family Card. Do I need purchase for my child? How do I make a reservation thru SBB website?

Regards,

CL

Hi @Chungling

You can buy the 1-day travelpass for children under the following link: https://www.sbb.ch/en/buying/pages/offerte/offertenProduktbasiert.xhtml;jsessionid=69972F6D7A784C85B...

You will receive your Swiss Family Card when you purchase Swiss Travel System tickets and choose the option "Yes, I would like the STS Family Card" during the order under: https://www.sbb.ch/en/leisure-holidays/travel-in-switzerland/international-guests.html

Seat reservations are not mandatory on most trains within Switzerland. Further information can be found here: https://www.sbb.ch/en/travelcards-and-tickets/tickets-for-switzerland/seat-reservations.html

Kind regards
