Hi, I am planning on travelling from chiasso to Zurich on a euro city train and wanted to know if you had to reserve a seat as I’m only travelling domestically so to speak?? And also if someone can confirm if saver day pass will cover the journey I’m pretty sure I does just want to make sure.

Many thanks

Hey @c0n0rmillard

Thank you for your request.

Seat reservation is not obligatory for national connections. However, since the train is coming from Milan, we recommend a reservation. On the online timetable you can still check the occupancy on the train.
The day pass is valid for Chiasso to Zurich HB. Here you can find more information:Day Pass for the Half Fare travelcard | SBB
