Do I need to make a seat reservation from Zurich airport to Wengen?

If I am traveling with my family from Zurich airport to Wengen, do I need to make a seat reservation?  What if my flight is delayed, can I catch another train without a seat reservation?  Also, is the point to point ticket the most flexible option if arriving by plane?  Finally, should I only reserve a seat/ ticket to Bern if I then intend to use the Bernese Regional pass?

Thank you for your request.

It is not necessary to reserve a seat between Zurich Airport and Wengen. If you arrive by plane, I recommend the "point-to-point" ticket, it is flexible compared to the supersaver.
