Hello and welcome to the SBB Community. What would you like to do?
Hello @Cristianoserrao
You should always have an identification document with you when you travel. Tickets are issued on a personalized basis only and an identification document may be required at the time of inspection. If the name is not identical, you will travel without a valid ticket.
Have a nice day.
Kind regards, VlaznimA.
@VlaznimA thanks a lot for your reply!
I bought online tickets for our group... I thought the legal first name of one of our friends was "Trish", and used that name on her ticket. Nevertheless, her legal first name is "Patricia" (as it reads on her Passport). Her surname is correct on the ticket and matches her ID. Will that be a problem when travelling? Thanks again.
Hi @Cristianoserrao
Thank you for your answer.
As mentioned by my colleague, the name must be correct on the ticket. The ticket must be cancelled and a new one made with the correct data.
