Cancellation of Halbtax due to moving abroad

SOLVED

Hello,

I was an expat living in Switzerland but I have moved back to the USA. I received my cancellation notice by post after the cancellation date so now I cannot make the cancellation online. Is there a way I can email my deregistration paperwork that shows I am no longer in Switzerland? I saw a previous answer that suggested to email halbtax@sbb.com but when I did that, I got an automated message that this email address was no longer active.

Thank you,

Andre
