1-Month GA Travel Card for Foreign Tourists

I am a foreign tourist traveling to Switzerland for a month in July. I am considering whether to purchase the 1-Month GA Travel Card or the Swiss Travel Pass Flex. I want to know the difference between the two options for a foreign visitor.

Also, can I purchase the GA Card without having the Swiss Travel Pass?

Which of the two options is better if during the one month I will be taking 3-4 train rides, bus tickets and entry for museums in Basel?
