Hello and welcome to the SBB Community. What would you like to do?
Hello? This is a family of foreign tourists.
There are two adults (51 years old, 54 years old), two male college students (21 years old, 22 years old), and one male high school student (15 years old), all five.
Stay at Grindelwald for 3 nights and 4 days.
I will purchase a 3 day Jungfrau Travel Pass ticket.
We plan to purchase the Saver-Day-Pass dated August 7, 2023 and August 10, 2023. There is no discount card.
One family representative registered as SBB member and has one ID.
1. Log in with the representative ID and register the names and information of the remaining four people,
Can I buy 5 tickets at a time?
2. Four adults and four college students have four second-class Saver-Day-Pass seats for August 7,
Can I buy 4 second class Saver-Day-Pass tickets for August 10th?
3. Should a 15-year-old high school student purchase one second class Day Pass Children for August 7th and one second class Day Pass Children for August 10th?
4. Do I have to print out the purchased Pass and keep it?
5. Let me know if anything else is missing. Thank you.
Hello @hy-kim
Yes, this is a Swiss national offer. This means that the advance booking period is also 2 months.
Have a nice day. Greetings Zoe
Hello? Thank you for your kind reply.
Let me ask you one more question.
Can I buy Day-Pass for children from 2 months in advance like Saver-Day-Pass?
Hello @hy-kim
Yes, this is a Swiss national offer. This means that the advance booking period is also 2 months.
Have a nice day. Greetings Zoe
Hello @hy-kim
Thank you for your request.
1. Yes, you can buy 5 tickets at the same time. During the purchase process, you can edit travellers (add, enter name & birthday).
2. There is no additional discount for students. The advance booking period in Switzerland is 2 months. For 7 August, the earliest you can buy day tickets is 7 June. However, you can buy a saver day pass for several days. Note the conditions of sale, which are neither exchangeable nor refundable.
3. For children under 16 years of age, tickets can be purchased with the half-fare reduction. I recommend that you buy the day pass children instead of the saver day pass. Important, he must not be 16 years old at the time of the trip. Information on the day ticket for children is available here.
4. If you have a SwissPass login, you can buy tickets with your login. These are then transferred to the SBB Mobile APp. You can show the tickets via smartphone. Alternatively, you can also print out the tickets.
5. With the saver day pass you can travel anywhere in Switzerland, see the area of validity map at the bottom right of the downloads. You do not need to reserve a seat for the trains (except with Panorama trains). You can find all information about the saver day pass here.
Good to know: We have special offers for international guests. You can find them here.
If you have any questions about your booking, the Contact Centre is always available on this number: +41 51 225 78 00 (CHF 0.08/min)
Have a good day. Greetings ZoeS
Thank you. Thanks to you, ZoeS, my curiosity has been solved. Now I have to buy the necessary pass successfully. Thank you.
