Unused Swiss travel pass refund

SOLVED

Hi,

I ordered a 4 day + 1 dear Swiss travel pass, but the validity date started from my order date. The tickets have now expired unfortunately, and I’m travelling to Switzerland in one weeks time and so the tickets are unused. I bought the tickets for two families so I paid quite a lot of money for it. Would I be able to please get a refund?

thank you

Hello @sana1

Thank you for your request.

Please contact the Contact Centre with your order number. We are available 24/7 on +41 51 225 78 00. Please note that I cannot guarantee a refund. After expiry, the deductible is usually 100%.

For your real stay in Switzerland you have to buy the Swiss Travel Pass again (no adjustment of the date possible).

Have a good day. Greetings ZoeS

Hi, I have the same problem. It never asked me for my date of travel and the ticket got issued from today's date (13th May). I tried calling the helpline but the calls don't go through. Please help as the passes are so expensive! Did you all get your refund? I just booked my family's tickets in the last 1 hour. Thank you!

Just wanted to update this thread and say my issue has been resolved. While the phone line I called was only in German, I could use the live chat option and get the issue resolved. The very helpful agent refunded the full amount and asked me to re-book for my actual travel dates. Now I'll try and figure out how to not have the validity date be the same as date of purchase 🙂

Hi ZoeS,

Unfortunately, I had the same problem just now that the Swiss Travel Pass I purchased will start the validity tomorrow. We will be travelling to Switzerland end of this month. I phoned the numbers you posted. The lady I spoke kindly cancelled my ordered, placed a refund and advised me to order again tickets and make sure to select the correct validity dates.  Will I received confirmation of cancellation and refund via email?

Thank you so much for this public forum.

Hello @Abi22 ,

Thank you for the request.

If you have refunded the ticket by phone and received a verbal confirmation, this means that you will be refunded within the next 3-10 days on the payment method you used for the purchase. If no written confirmation has been asked, you will not receive a confirmation by email. If you would like to have a confirmation of this refund by e-mail, you can request it by telephone at the following number:
