Swiss Travel Pass Promotion Question

Hi All,

I am looking for recommendation whether Swiss Travel Pass will be useful for my itinerary below. We will stay in Luzern for all 4 nights and making day trips from Luzern. We are family of four including 2 kids (4 years old and 9 years old). If Swiss travel pass is advisable for our itinerary then will be able to get advantage of current promotion of one day free with 4 days STP purchase? Thanks 

Day 1 Basel to Luzern via train

Day 2 Mt. Titlis, Luzern City Tour and Luzern Boat tour

Day 3 Interlaken and Lake Brienz boat cruise

Day 4 Mt. Rigi or Bern  

Day 5 Zurich city tour

I bought the Swiss Travel pass for myself and my wife. I downloaded the app and logged in using the same credentials which I used to buy the pass on the website. I am unable to see my travel pass on the app. What do I need to do ?

Like is written on our homepage you can buy the offer, from 14.April-14.May 2023 and use for the days you want.

Extra days special: Enjoy extra days from 14 April to 14 May 2023. With the 4-day Swiss Travel Pass, you’ll get an extra day. And if you choose the 8-day Swiss Travel Pass, you’ll get two extra days!

Thank for replying. I didnt find the 4+1 day offer's validity on homepage like you said. Can you please share the link where it says I can buy the promotion now and use it in June or any other time of the year? All I could find is, I need to buy the offer between 14th April to 14th May.

Please note that you cannot buy tickets retroactively. The offer can be purchased until 14.05.2023. You can travel with this offer until 13.11.2023 (last first day of validity).

You can find the offer here. If the link doesn't work for you, you can go to Holidays & Leisure under Inspiration and click on the "International Guests" tab. You can find the Swiss Travel Pass offer there.

Thanks both of you. I have decided to go with Swiss Pass. My last question is, I am coming from Paris to Luzern. Should I break down my ticket purchase and just buy ticket from Paris to Basel SBB and then use my swiss pass to travel from Basel to Luzern so I can utilize my swiss pass? Or is swiss pass valid on that leg of journey.

If you have a Swiss Travel Pass you can buy a ticket from Paris to Basel SBB. The Swiss Travel Pass covers transportation between Basel SBB and Lucern. You can't buy a ticket from Paris to Lucern with Swiss Travel Pass as reduction card.

Thanks. I am buying the fare from Paris to Basel SBB. For my kids do I pick the option "Children's co-travelcard" or No discount option? Do kids travel free? 1 is 4 year old and other is 9 years.

Swiss Travel offers are not the same as GA reductions. The children's discount also refers to the Junior Card.
Children between the ages of 4 and 11.99 travel free of charge without their own seat when accompanied by an adult. Children under the age limit for whom a separate seat is required pay half the fare (no additional discount if not available).

Thanks. If I purchase the SwissTravelpass and if my plans changes, can I get full refund before my travel days? how many days before can i get full refund without any fees?

Before the first day of use you have a deductible of CHF 10.00. On the first day of use or later (require proof of non-use) you have a deductible of 15%.
The refund can be made directly to an agent, by telephone to the Contact Centre or at a ticket office.

Is The extra day offer only valid for travelling between 14 april to 14 may or is it the date for purchase? Can I purchase by 14 May 2023 for my upcoming travel in June? 

Also after I add all the passenger to my account, I am getting an error on my 2018 born child.
