Hello and welcome to the SBB Community. What would you like to do?
Hi, we are a family of 2 adults and 3 children (below 16). We intend to purchase the Swiss Half Fare Card and the Berner Oberland Pass. I understand that we are able to apply for the Swiss Family Pass for my 3 children and they will be able to travel for free. My question is whether there is a need to purchase the Berner Oberland Pass for them since the Swiss Family Pass would be able to cover the travel for free? Thanks.
Hello @Cadino
It is best to present your Swisspass or your travel card (in paper form) at the check-in.

Hi @Cadino
Yes, the Swiss Family Pass is valid with the Berner Oberland Pass, that means your children are travelling for free with you.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I understand some of the gantries to the gondolas/cable cars in the Jungfrau region requires the code for scanning for entry. So we would just need to scan using the Swiss Family Card code for our children, and for adults, we use the code for the Berner Oberland pass?
