My friend is travelling to Switzerland for 3 days in May, can she buy a super saver day pass as a traveler ? Or super saver day pass is only available for people with residency in Switzerland?

Hello @Altx

Kindly note, there is no Super Saver Day Pass. The offer is named Saver Day Pass. Yes, tourists can benefit from Saver Day Passes as well (half-fare, provided they hold the Swiss Half Fare Card in addition, or full fare). You can find the offer here: Saver Day Pass – book earlier, travel cheaper | SBB

Best regards,
Roland

Hello @Hotshot

Thank you for your request.

If you buy the Swiss Half Fare Card you could obtain the Family Card: https://www.myswitzerland.com/en-ch/planning/transport-accommodation/tickets-public-transport/swiss-.... With this offer, children from their 6th up to their 16th birthday travel free of charge on nationwide public transport with their parents.

The system gives the same fare when booking the saver day pass, because your son is 7 years old. Children pay from their 6th birthday (half price). But as mentioned, you could obtain the family card so then you don't need an additional ticket at all for him.

I wish you a nice day.
Kind regards, LeaG

Hi Roland,

I am travelling with my wife and 7 year old son for 6 days and planning to buy Swiss Half Fare Card for both of us.

Also I will be buying the Saver day pass to travel for 5 days and 6th day the Zürich Card for 24 Hours, my only question is do I need any kind of ticket or pass for my son? If yes, how do I apply?

I am trying to book Saver day pass and when adding all 3 of us its showing that I have to pay for my son the same fare as us.

Kindly guide

Regards

HS

Brilliant! Thanks RolandP for your advice
