Hi I am looking to fly to Geneva and then onto Wengen. However I notice the offer for snow and rail pass for the entire region ski pass the train only goes interlaken ost.  But the Grindlewald/Wenden ski pass train goes to Wengen. Can someone advise why?

Also how do we get from interlaken Ost to Wengen? Help would be appreciated

Hi @BorisN

Thank you for your question.

The destination can be set to either Grindelwad Terminal or Wengen.

As you can see, in this example I set following dates:

08.03.2022: Journey Brig to Grindelwald
09.03 and 10.03.2022: 2 days skipass
11.03.2022: Journey Grindelwald to Brig

Hello @Redmichelle

Thank you for your query.

Trains go all the way to Lauterbrunnen. From there you take the cable car to Wengen. You can find all the information under the following link: https://www.sbb.ch/en/leisure-holidays/ideas/offer.html/snow-n-rail/jungfrau-ski-region.

I wish you a nice day.

Kind regards, AferditaH.

Hello AferditaH,

One thing is still not clear. As Redmichelle said, for the entire jungfrau region ski pass the destination is automatically set to Interlaken Ost, it cannot be changed. In case the final point is Grindelwald/Wengen, should a ticket from Interlaken to Grindelwald/Wengen be purchased, or is this train included in the Snow n Rail final fare?

Thanks

Hi @MaxM and @Redmichelle

Thanks for your question.

Yes, the journey Lauterbrunnen to Wengen is included in the Skipass.

Kind regards,
EleonoraS

But how does this work if the Jungfrau ski pass is set to start the day after the journey to Interlaken Ost and on to Wengen?? Similarly, if the return rail journey from Wengen to Interlaken Ost and onwards is the on the day after the ski pass ends?? SBB website does not allow Interlaken Ost to Wengen ticket to be purchased at 20% discount and presumably this has to be purchased separately at full price??
