Hello and welcome to the SBB Community. What would you like to do?
Good afternoon,
I consider buying a saver day pass, and I have a question about taking mountain railways with saver day pass.
I saw the condition 'Half Fare travelcard customers can buy tickets at a reduced price for journeys with numerous mountain railways and connecting trains. Customers without a Half Fare travelcard will have to pay the full price for extension tickets.' on the explaination of saver day pass.
If I don't have half fare card and buy saver day pass, is it impossible to use every mountain railways for free or is there any discount?
Or can I use the mountain railways which is real line (not the dot line) on GA validity map? such as from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald.
And could you tell me what's the validity map of saver day pass?
Best regards
Hello @jinmyoung
It differs from mountain railway to mountain railway whether the day pass is valid or not. On the validity area you can see which mountain railways are included (real lines). If you don't have a Half-Fare Card or GA travelcard you usually pay the full price.

The map of validity you will find in the link under “Download”.

So, even though there's real line on the validity map, do I have to pay full price if I don't have GA or half fare card?
Hello @jinmyoung
If there is a real line the Saver Day Pass is valid and you don't need to buy an additional ticket.
