Saver Day Pass - Mount Rigi

Good day,

We will be visiting Switzerland at the end of August and we will be staying in Basel. We are planning to take a trip from Basel to Mount Rigi and are considering the best option for travel. Does the Saver Day Pass without the Half fare option include the entire travel from Basel up to Mount Rigi i.e. the boat ride, cable car, cogwheel and the entrance at Mount Rigi? We are struggling to find prices for tickets on the official SBB website as it keeps providing us with the half fare prices, so it is difficult to compare the cost of paying for the train, boat, cogwheel, etc. individually versus buying the Saver Day Pass. Your assistance would be highly appreciated.

If you buy a Saver Daypass, you can ride essentially ALL of Switzerland on that day; most of the "nice" mountain railways are NOT included, but Rigi IS included.

If you get to the booking page(s) for Saver Day Pass, they quote 1st and 2nd class with and without a 1/2 fare card--either way you get FULL GA coverage. 

The actual purchase may not work with many credit cards. From the USA AMEX do work.

If you are only taking this one trip, there is no monetary advantage of buying a 1/2 fare card; Rigi is one class, so 1st class is probably not needed.

A nice routing to get to Rigi: take the boat from Luzern to Vitznau and the Cog Railway up to Rigi Kulm, most train trips meet the arrival of the boat.

Hi I want to know that do I need to make seat reservation when I have a saver day pass to go to Rigi？Or I can just go to train and boat show the staff my saver day pass？

I am a little comfused after seeing the synoptic map of Saver Day Pass.Is the boat route from Weggis to Luzern valid by using Saver Day Pass? There is no line of this route on the map.

The entire Lake Luzern (there is a more complicated "official" name) is valid with a Saver Day Pass. 

From Rigi Kulm you can also take a train to Arth Goldau, transfer to a train to Flulen (or Brunen) and take a boat back to Luzern--all free with the SDP. Since there is much more daylight now you can see lots of nice scenery in one day.
