SAVER DAY PASS vs Supersaver Day

SOLVED

Hello I am a tourist visiting Zurich and Zermatt.

I checked that Saver Day Pass is cheaper for traveling from Zurich HB to Zermatt (and Zermat to Zurich also) than taking the Super Saver Day pass.

Am i able to use the Saver Day Pass without any travelcard or similar? Or do I need to comply with additional requirements or make a seat reservation?

Thanks

Hi @Fcuer10

For the day ticket of CHF 75.00 you need a Half-Fare Card. For tourists there is the possibility of buying a super saver pass.

Greetings and have a nice day.

Thanks for the reply but, I read the terms and conditions for the Saver Day pass and they are both options with or without a Half Fare travelcard. I took the option without a Half Fare travelcard and I paid the "Full Price without the Half Fare Travelcard.

Here is the link where I took the info:

https://www.sbb.ch/en/travelcards-and-tickets/tickets-for-switzerland/day-pass/saver-day-pass.html

"Conditions:

  • are subject to certain conditions;
  • can be purchased for 1st and 2nd class, depending on availability;
  • are available with or without a Half Fare travelcard;
  • are only available when booking in advance: from 60 days in advance up to the day before travel. They cannot be purchased on the day of travel;
  • are available in different price bands with different advance booking periods and availabilities: the earlier you buy, the cheaper you travel;
  • are available online and on SBB Mobile.
  • are valid on the selected day up until 5 a.m. the following day on routes in the GA travelcard area."
