Hello and welcome to the SBB Community. What would you like to do?
Hello, what is the difference between saver day pass and point to point ticket? Does the point to point ticket allow you to make stops along the way? For example if I want to go from Geneve to Montreux can I stop in Lausanne for a few hours, then continue my way to Montreux and return to Geneva the same day by using the point to point ticket? Thank you.
If I buy a point-to-point ticket, do I have to get on at a certain time? Or anytime during the day of the ticket?
Hello @Cmbloom21 ,
Thank you for your request.
If you have bought the ticket for a trip in Switzerland and it is a point to point ticket than is valid, for the selected route and kindly all day until next day at 05.00 am. That means, you can flexibly choose at what time you go on the train.
Have a nice weekend
Kind regards MelanieD
Hi @Alexandra22
Thank you for your request.
The Saver Day Pass covers almost all train, bus and tram connections all over Switzerland. A point to point ticket is only valid on the chosen journey. With both tickets you have the possibility to stop in Lausanne and continue your journey to Montreux few hours later.
You will find all the information here:
Saver Day Pass: https://www.sbb.ch/en/travelcards-and-tickets/tickets-for-switzerland/1-day-travelpass/saver-day-pas... (attention to the conditions of use under “terms and conditions”)

I wish you a good day.

Hi could I buy a point to point ticket from Luzern to Lauterbrunnen and travel
1. Train - luzern to Brienz
2. Ship - brienz to interlaken ost
3. Train - interlaken ost to Lauterbrunnen
Or do I have to buy each journey separately?
