Milano to Geneva Direct (EC34) - not available at end of August?

Hi. I cant find any direct train from Milan to Geneva in the last 2 weeks of August and 1st week of September. Is there a known disruption of the EC34 service for these weeks? Or are the trains fully booked already?

I need to get from Milan to Lausanne on Monday 28th August.

Thank you that is bad news. Why do Swiss and Italian rail websites not say this anywhere? I based our holiday travel plan and bookings expecting to take the EC34 on this day and nowhere except your reply mentions that EC34 will run for 3 weeks.

Thank you for your request.

Between 21 August and 10 September 2023, train EC34 will not be running on the full route. The timetables are updated. You need to change trains at Domodossola.

If the train is not on the timetable, it means that it is not running. We always advise you to check the timetable beforehand.

I've been checking for weeks and also searching the other answers on this help board and the only information I've been getting is replies to others saying 'it's  common for the train bookings not to be available yet because Trenitalia don't update their timetable until June'. I've followed that advice so far, so disappointed that it's not been good advice. 

Where did you find that the EC34 is not running the full route those days? I checked all the official swiss PDF timetables last week and it never said anything.
