Hello and welcome to the SBB Community. What would you like to do?
Hi, I am traveling with a 2nd class interrail pass and am looking to book the glacier express. There are no 2nd class seats available on the day we need to travel, but 1st class is available. What is the best way for me to upgrade my ticket please just for this one way trip? Also, would any of the discount options such as half fare apply? Thanks. you.
Hello @stefxgx
@ZoeSgave you the correct answer. Using the Interrail Pass, you must buy full fare (1/1) class upgrades, the Interrail does not grant any reduction.
The following class upgrades are possible: Point-to-point Class Upgrade, Supersaver Class Upgrade (only available using the SBB Mobile app for purchase until one day before the departure day)
Class upgrade for a route or for a day | SBB
Supersaver Class Upgrade | SBB
Best regards,
Roland
Hello @stefxgx
To travel in 1st class, you need a class upgrade in addition to the supplement (reservation). This is the difference to the second class. You can do this separately.
We are here for you if you have any questions.
Have a nice day.
Greetings, ZoeS
Hi Zoe.
Thanks for your response. Which option do we choose for the upgrade as I can see class upgrade and super saver class upgrade? Also, does the interrail pass count for any discount options such as half fare? Thank you.
