Hello and welcome to the SBB Community. What would you like to do?
Hi. Myself, my husband and 2 children, 10 years and 12 years, will be traveling from Milan to Interlaken on the 17th September. When I go to book tickets it allows me to put in a half fare discount code for the adults. However, it is still charging a ticket price for the two children. I thought children were free if traveling with their parents who hold a Swiss Half Fare Card? Do I need to put a discount code in for the kids too? Thanks
Thanks for your reply SandrineS. However, when I look on this link https://www.sbb.ch/en/leisure-holidays/inspiration/international-guests/swiss-halffare-card.html it says children from 6-16 travel for free if they are travelling with their parents and the parents have a Swiss Half Fare Card and the Swiss Family Card. So if I have the Half Fare Card and the Family Card, my children should travel with me for free. Is that right? When I go to book tickets online I can find where to put in the discount for the adults for the Half Fare Card, but what option do I choose for the children, so they travel for free? It gives the option of either 'Junior Travel Card' or the 'Children's Co Travel Card'.
Hello @dollster15
You do not need a ticket for them. The important thing is, you have a Swiss Family Card: Swiss Family Card | Switzerland Tourism (myswitzerland.com)

Hello @dollster15
Thank you for your request.
Children traveling alone and accompanied children from the age of 6 until before the age of 16 pay half price for tickets. On the following link you will find all the information. Tickets and travelcards for children and young people | SBB
