Is there a half fare pass card for a week or month that is cheaper than the full year at 187.

Yes, there is the Swiss Half Fare Card for tourists at CHF 120, see: 

https://www.sbb.ch/en/leisure-holidays/inspiration/international-guests/swiss-halffare-card.html

It is not available for residents from Switzerland or Liechtenstein.
