Hi @CMB

You do not need to buy a childrens day pass, because children under six years travel free of charge in Switzerland, see https://www.sbb.ch/en/timetable/travel-advice/travelling-with-children/tickets-travelcards.html.

I wish you a nice stay in Switzerland

Thanks so much. I got confused with the information.

Is there a ticket for them at all to show those who might randomly check or just tell them they’re under 6?

Hello @CMB

No, you do not need a ticket or another sort of proof. However, it is always good to have an ID with you should your 5 years old look older.

Best regards,
Roland

Hi Roland! Thank you! Puts me at ease to hear that. Of course we will bring passports. She just turned 5.
