Day Pass for 2 - which Half Fare Card applicable?

New Member

Dear all,

currently there is an offer - "Day Pass for 2":

As one of the condition for this type of ticket is the half fare card. Do I understand correctly, that Swiss Half Fare card (for 1 month and costs 120 CHF) will not work here and I have to have a Half-Fare travelcard (for 1 year and costs 1845 CHF)?

If yes, can I buy in Zürich (Flughafen?), being a German resident?

The confusion is caused by two different answers below via the links

Hi @Fliegmitmir

Thank you for your request

There are two Half-Fare cards;

The Swiss Half Fare Card (CHF 120.- / valid 1 Month)

The Half-Fare Travelcard (CHF 185.- / valid 1 year)

With the Swiss Half Fare Card it is not possible to buy a Day Pass for 2. You can of course buy a Half-Fare Travelcard at the Station Zürich Airport. Please complete and sign this form => Right under Download  => Half-Fare travelcard application form (PDF) and present this document at the counter. Please don't forget your photo !

I wish you a good afternoon.

Best regards
