Hello and welcome to the SBB Community. What would you like to do?
Hello, how can international travellers recieve compensation for cancelled/delayed train services within Switzerland?
The online claim form only accepts IBAN only. There is no where to include SWIFT code for banks.
What options do international travellers have?
Hello @ianpanyw88
The tickets will alway be refunded on the used payment method. You can't pay online with a usual banc account (IBAN) for an international ticket - it's always via credit card.
In this case the refund will be on the used credit card or if you purchased the tickets cash on the SBB counter in switzerland, you'll get the refund only on the counter.
Compensation for passenger rights is also provided by means of the purchased ticket an the used payment method of this ticket. If a refund is not possible or we need more information, we will contact you as soon you filled out the form.
For further information please contact our SBB Contact Center +41 848 44 66 88 (CHF 0.08/Min.) or from abroad +41 51 225 78 00.
Thank you for your understanding and have a nice day.
Kind regards, VlaznimA.
Hi @VlaznimA ,
I am facing similar issue. In order to submit the form I need to include an iban number which I don't have. How can we submit the compensation form without needing the iban?
Hello @rohan05eie
I can't quite see where you need an IBAN. In the case of a refund, the money always goes back to the payment method used - as written above.
Please contact our Contact Centre so that they can help you in more detail. Thank you for your understanding.
Have a nice day.
Greetings ZoeS
