Companion ticket discounts

Hello,

I have a GA and I want to buy companion tickets for multiple days for a person who will travel with me. On SBB it says that the companion ticket is available in the whole GA area of validity.

My questions is: For example on top of europe or gornegrat for the GA i will have a discount, this discount will apply also to the person that has the companion ticket or I need to buy a normal ticket?

Thank you for your request.

No, even with the GA you can't get onto the Jungfraujoch for free. The travel pass is equivalent to the day ticket. Like the GA, this is valid as a discount for the ascent to the Jungfraujoch.
The same applies to the Gornergrat. You have the route to Zermatt in your ticket. After that, the line is dotted, which means you get a discount and need an extra ticket.

I know that with the GA i need to buy a ticket at a discounted price for Gornegrat/Jungfraujoch. My question was if the same discount applies for the person with the companion ticket or do I need to buy a ticket at full price even with the companion ticket?

I try to repeat what @ZoeS said:

For mountain excursions, where the GA is granting a reduction only, your companion cannot take advantage of the same reduction. Your companion must purchase a regular ticket. 

For journeys outside the GA Travelcard area of validity, normal tickets must be purchased for you and your companion.
