City Ticket for Zurich-Luzern required?

When I go to purchase a point to point ticket from zurich to luzern, the only SBB option includes a city ticket. I don't plan on taking other transportation for the short period in Lucerne, so I don't want to buy this city ticket. Is it possible to buy just the train ticket without the city ticket? If so, how do I find this option?

Thank you for your request.

If you do not need a City Ticket, you just have to choose on the timetable from Zürich HB to Luzern and nothing more. You should not click in "Upgrade City". If you buy the ticket online or via the mobile application, it is the same procedur (See scan).
