Hello and welcome to the SBB Community. What would you like to do?
Hello @Nicho
It is perfectly possible to buy a 24-hours extension ticket (zone upgrade) in addition to your existing 24hrs-ticket. The 24-hours tickets are available for 1–2 zones, and up to 7 zones; see here: Zone upgrade in the ZVV region – ZVV
In your case, a 1-2 zones 24-hours extension ticket is sufficient if you only want to travel to Zurich city. However, a 9-o-clock pass for Zurich city, plus an extension ticket for 4 zones would allow you to travel in the entire ZVV network. You might want to compare prices, depending on where you would like to go.
Please let us know should you have more queries.
Best regards,
Roland
Hi Roland,
Thank you for your reply. So, I have a local network 24hr ticket in the Bonstetten-Wettswil area, and I want to add an extension ticket (24hr) to bring me to Zurich city centre and back; is it possible to add extension tickets to local network tickets, or can they only be added to zoned (min 1-2 zones) tickets?
Thank you for your help,
Nicho
Hello @Nicho
That's the purpose of an extension ticket. However, to be able to give you a correct answer, you should let us know what local network ticket you have got and the route you would like to travel.
Best regards,
Roland
