Buying Swiss Travel Pass and Using the 'golden pass' line

SinheeKim

Hi, It's sinhee.

My swiss travel route is like this : Lasaunne -> Montrex -> Interlaken -> Luzern -> Zurich

and I have a question.

I will buy a Swiss Travel Pass .

I want to take a train of 'golden pass' line which goes from montrex to Zweisimmen.

and I heard that in the summer peak season, maybe i don't get a seat.

Even if i have a Swiss travel ticket, Do I have to reserve for  'golden pass line' seat, separately ?  (not for vip room but for 2nd  class.)

or Can i get on the train in the standing section ?

Hello @SinheeKim

If you take a train without Panoramic, you can travel without a reservation. But it is still recommended because during the summer there are a lot of travelers on this route. If you don't have a seat reservation you may not be allowed on the train and need to wait for the next one without Panoramic.
Therefore, I recommend you to make a reservation either through the telephone +41900300300 or at the SBB station at the time you arrive in Switzerland.

On the Panoramic trains, the reservation is required. On the other trains, there is the train crew how decides if you can get on without reservation when the train is already full.

I wish you a nice trip to Switzerland and many unforgettable journeys.

Kind Regards,
KerstinI

Miss Kerstinl.... refering to your answer, is this mean is it not necessary to reserve the ticket from Laussane to Interlaken if i already bought a Swiss Travel Pass? I'm confused. then if i want to make a reservation i need to pay? if im not make a resevation is it free by using Swiss Travel Pass?
