Work Smart: your office on the move with @kupfi

SBB is helping to make workplaces more flexible with the Work Smart Initiative. Enabling people to work more flexibly means that train capacity gets used more evenly, freeing up seats on the train. To mark ‘Work Smart Week’, SBB Service Scout Thomas Kupferschmied talked to us about the benefits of life as a digital nomad.

Reception on regional services – off we go.

Better reception and low-floor access everywhere, benefiting everyone who travels on the Zurich S-Bahn. SBB and mobile network providers have begun upgrading S-Bahn trains with signal boosters this week as previously reported. Alongside this, travel comfort has already improved significantly thanks to new low-floor coaches.

Saturday, 6.30 p.m., Zurich main station: It’s hot and humid, the evening sun is burning through the big windows and onto the meeting point. Every train, every escalator is disgorging a never-ending flow of people. Young, old, lots of bare skin, coloured hair. It’s certainly loud.
