unauthorized use of TWINT for purchases in SBB

BEWARE of Twint automatic payments!!! two days ago I received a notification on 39 CHF deducted from my twint account in behalf of SBB/CFF. I didn't purchase anything so I called the bank and they said, someone had access to your phone and made it, which is ridiculous, I was calling from my phone. Still don't know what was the use of the 39 CHF and obviously no ticket in my account since I didn't buy anything.  Cancelled all the automatic payments since nobody will hold responsible for this scam. Bank suggested me to make a claim on a civil court. Please dont connect the twint app to SBB, the security is zero and no one responds!

Hi @Pvera

thank you for your post.

The SBB Mobile App has a specific setting which allows users to purchase tickets worth up to CHF 40.00 without further confirmation. Maybe this setting is active in your app?

If this is the case, the purchase done is legitimate, and you should have received a confirmation email as well.

If you have not received an order number nor a confirmation e-mail from SBB, it means that the amount was not charged definitely.

TWINT authorizations are not definitive debits, although they are displayed on the bank account. The authorizations are automatically released again. This can take between 7 and 14 days with TWINT. Once the amount has been released, it will no longer be visible on your bank statement. For this reason, we recommend that you always wait for the final bank statement.

If you have any other question, please contact our colleagues at the SBB Contac Center (0848 44 66 88, CHF 0.08/min), they are available 24/7.

I wish you a great day.

I have the same issue and did not receive any confirmation mail or similar. All the easy-ride tickets are also in the final bank statement. How is that possible???

Hello @pchaco00

In order to report a problem with EasyRide, please proceed as follows:

Open SBB Mobile or SBB Preview app and tick the relevant journey in the «EasyRide» box. Then select «Report problem with journey» and fill out the form. Customer Services will check your journey and contact you directly.

I wish you a pleasant week.
Greetings, DafineM
