Travel card day showing as already used, not activated

I have a 20 day leisure travel card. Sometimes (twice, today and once before) the day shows as already used, rather than currently active. So even though I activated today, Wednesday, October 19th, the day is not active and the app says I do not have a valid ticket. How can I fix this? The train staff were not able to find the issue on board.

May I ask: did this problem occur in the old SBB Mobile App as well or only in the new one, with the new design? I encountered a similar issue in the new app and I am curious to know if this might be a bug in the new app.
