Smoking inside trains

There was a person smoking (and then coughing it all outside) inside the train. Is there anything passengers can do? Any rules prohibiting it? It's really difficult inside a CLOSED space to breathe smoke instead of air.

Thank you for your post.

Smoking is prohibited on our trains. In such cases you can contact directly our transport police: 0800 117 117. In unaccompanied trains, where there are only spot checks, we can not always find passengers who do not respect the rules and we are grateful for any information from other passengers.
